Our woodchip is:
- - Produced to industry standards, concentrating on chip of G30 or G50 grade
- - Targeted at a moisture content below 30%
- - Cheap alternative to oil
- - Our production hubs are equipped with high tech moisture meters so that all deliveries can be checked to ensure that
the customer receives chip suitable for their boiler
Our timber is:
- - Locally sourced from our Members' woodlands
- - The product of legal and sustainable management
Our Members obtain all necessary Felling Licences and consents from the Forestry Commission or other relevant bodies.
All consumers claiming Renewable Heat Incentive payments for their biomass systems must source their fuel from suppliers authorised by the Biomass Suppliers List.
The Hampshire Woodfuel Cooperative is authorised by BSL to supply chip from all its production hubs.
Our stock control systems ensure that there is always enough dry chip for our customers.
Round timber sold at roadside to wholesale firewood or woodchip customers is measured and graded to ensure the customer knows what he is buying and the best price is achieved for our Members.
