How The Cooperative Works

The Cooperative is run on a hub-based system

• - Our Central Organisational Hub handles all orders and coordinates the smooth running of the business
• - Our Production Hubs handle the production storage and delivery of woodchip. We are developing a network around
    the County wherever a demand is identified

Members supply wood to the Cooperative. This is stored, processed and delivered to customers.

We also have markets for round timber, both softwood for the chipping market and hardwood to the firewood trade. The Cooperative arranges these sales, allowing members to avoid the cost of delivering wood to a production hub.

At the end of the year the Cooperative's surplus is distributed between Members according to the amount of wood they have contributed.

Production Hubs are run by their owners with the Cooperative paying them for the service they provide.
